About Thornbridge

Thornbridge began brewing at Thornbridge in February 2005 in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall near Ashford-in-the-Water. Their beers have gained considerable success with over 350 awards being won in regional, national and international competitions. Because of the success we outgrew the original brewery and so designed and built a new state of the art brewery which was opened in Bakewell in September 2009. Their aim was to continue to brew high quality cask, keg and bottled beers and develop new ones through innovation in process and use of ingredients. The original Hall Brewery continues to operate in developing our new, seasonal and speciality beers.

"Handsome Pale Ale reflects one of the great styles of British beer a Pale Ale. It provides a showcase for a blend of classic English hops including Challenger, Fuggles and Bramling Cross that give the beer a crisp and refreshing taste – what could be better after a long bike ride."

Expect a crisp refreshing beer with citrus flavours – very drinkable and moreish, brewed with very best of ingredients, world class quality processes and made by brewers with passion for what they do - a great way to replace lost fluids after The Classic Ride!

"The Monsal Head! The climb comes with it’s rewards - the most glorious view over the valley and The Monsal Viaduct, an iconic Peak District scene."

"The stunning Burbage Brook is our favourite spot for a ploughmans picnic (with a cool box of Handsome Pale) - picnic perfection!"

"An absolute gem of a pub, The Packhorse Inn in Little Longstone. Great food, open fires and dogs welcome!"

"There is so much that makes this festival fantastic, The Rides, The Best in Show, The Entertainment, The Great British Spirit! The time and effort which goes into planning Eroica Britannia creates a finesse like no other Festival."

"Our Craft Beer, Food and Music Festival Peakender 17- 19 August and we’re certain Eroica Britannia will get us in the festival spirit!"
