Be an ‘Ero at this year’s Eroica festival!Published on 15th. December 2017
A celebration of cycling heritage and two-wheeled adventure is coming: we've got over 4,500 riders and their bikes coming along to this year's Eroica Britannia Festival at Friden Grange.
After a year of training and preparation our event will showcase their passion for cycling on their much-loved and highly esteemed steeds around the beautiful grounds of the Peak District National Park. This year’s festival promises to bigger, better and even more bountiful than previous years with 3 days of incredible scenery, camaraderie second to none and plenty of gin at the end of a long day in the summer sun. Families (and their dogs!) from all over the country will descend into the Peak District for the one weekend of the year that boasts some of the region’s greatest local produce and refreshments while soaking up the best atmosphere for miles.
To ensure the ride runs smoother than the High Peak Trail itself, we need you to be an ‘Ero. It’s all hands on deck as we meet and greet the riders at the registration desk and wish them luck for their upcoming adventure, whether that’s the 30, 50 or 100 mile challenge. You can expect plenty of smiling faces, appreciation and entertainment while you’re mucking in to ensure Eroica is a weekend to remember.
It’s not only helping the riders onsite but also out and about in the glorious Peak District. We like to keep them safe and sound and with your help along the routes we can guide their way. Joining the team at Eroica Britannia will gift you a unique experience, adored by riders for helping support their endeavour the reward will be more than just a pass to the festival and goodie bag.
Many of our volunteers from years gone by have returned time and time again to offer their pair of hands to the greatest weekend on the British calendar and 2018 is no different. If you don’t fancy doing it alone, join forces with family and friends to volunteer together. There are many volunteering positions available before, during and after the event to suit your availability but with one key aim: making Eroica the talking point of many conversations for days, months and years to come!
With your help we can share experiences, make friends and discover more about the riders and festival goers who make this event what it is.
If you want to be part of this unique experience and make friends for life in a gorgeous setting now’s your chance
