Since the UK-incorporated premium brand for mixers and tonic waters burst onto Europe’s bar and restaurant scene in 2015, it has fast become THE company to watch and continues to be an exciting brand to disrupt the market and excite the taste-buds. Double Dutch now has five signature mixers available in 12 countries in Europe has also launched in Singapore in April.
Founded by Dutch twin sisters Joyce and Raissa de Haas
Double Dutch was born from a dream and an ambition to unite great spirits with complementary mixers that enliven and enhance. The twins were frustrated by the fact that while the global market led to better quality and more choice, the mixers and sodas designed to accompany the spirits remained bland and unexciting.
This would lead them to experiment and create their own syrups and sodas, which would become their passion. Building further on their dream, Joyce and Raissa made the decision to move to London to study and graduate with MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship.
After graduating in 2014, they went through the meticulous and technological process of flavour development to create their debut mixers Pomegranate & Basil and Cucumber & Watermelon, both of which received rave reviews when they launched in 2015.
From the world’s best mixologists through to those who prefer their G&T on the sofa at home, Double Dutch mixers have revolutionised the enjoyment of spirits. With complex flavours that uplift spirits, satisfying aromas than enhance each drink and superlative quality and smoothness to delight the palate, Double Dutch is much more than double the taste sensation. It is a way of discovering a whole new world of mixed drinks.
The Double Dutch range
Pomegranate & Basil, Indian Tonic Water, Cucumber & Watermelon, Slimline Indian Tonic Water and Cranberry Tonic Water – are served and retailed in select food and beverage establishments in the country such as Selfridges, Fortnum and Masons and Harvey Nichols. They are also listed on Ocado for home-delivery. Double Dutch drinks currently retail at £3,29 per pack (4 bottles).
