Friden Grange is set within the hamlet of Friden in the parish of Hartington Nether Quarter, Derbyshire, England. It is located 6 miles from our former home of Bakewell and is 11 miles south-east of Buxton just off the Newhaven to Cromford Via Gellia road.

Working with the Highways Department at Derbyshire County Council we have taken every care to make sure your arrival to Eroica Britannia is as smooth as possible.

Essential Rider Information

Before you embark on your chosen route on Sunday 18th June, you’ll need to register in the Eroica Britannia HQ marquee, located in the heart of the Main Festival Arena. It’s at Registration Desk where you’ll redeem using your Ride ticket (printed or downloaded to a device, such as smartphone) the following:

All Rider & Festival Visitor Arrivals

Once you have arrived at site via your own vehicle, your bicycle, public transport or on foot please head to the Arena Box Office to exchange your Ride or Festival tickets for corresponding wristbands for you and your party. You can then enter the festival through the Arena Box Office entrance.

Derbyshire County Council have complied some road updates for visitors travelling to Eroica Britannia over the weekend outlining any potential busy areas and where The Ride will pass through on Sunday 18th June.

All Camping Arrivals

All camping arrivals (motor homes, caravans, trailer tents and regular tents) should head to the Weekend Parking Gate located on the Festival site, accessed off the A515. This gate will be clearly signed in black & yellow road signs.

Camping In A Tent

Upon arrival to the Weekend Parking Gate please have your pre-booked Camping Parking ticket ready for scanning, which will be exchanged for a Parking Pass that needs to be displayed in your vehicle window at all times.

Upon arrival to the Weekend Parking Gate please have your pre-booked Camping Pitch – Motor Home/Caravan/Trailer Tent ticket ready for scanning, which will be exchanged for a Live-In Vehicle Pass that needs to be displayed in your vehicle window at all times.

Boutique Camping & Parking

If you have pre-booked Boutique Camping and/or Boutique Camping Parking please head to the Day Parking/Boutique Car Park which is accessed off Friden Lane.

Weekend Parking Only

If you have purchased a 3 Day Parking ticket please head to the Weekend Parking Gate located on the Festival site, accessed off the A515. This gate will be clearly signed in black & yellow road signs.

One Day Parking Only

If you are joining us as a day visitor and have either pre-booked a 1 Day Parking ticket, or wish to pay for parking on the day, please head to the Day Parking Car Park which is accessed off Friden Lane.

Festival Re-Entry

Once you have your wristbands for the Ride, Festival, Camping (any type), and/or Parking (any type), you'll be free to come and go from the site as you please.

Shuttle Busses

We will be running a Shuttle bus service to the Eroica Britannia festival site from Bakewell for our friends in Bakewell and day visitors. This service will run daily from 12pm to 12am on a first come first served basis, Friday 16th June, Saturday 17th June & Sunday 18th June for our day visitors.

We would like to introduce our preferred Taxi Partner for 2017 CITY Taxis. We have been working with CITY Taxis to bring you competitive prices and fixed rate costs from local town centres and stations to and from the festival site across the weekend. A great option for getting to us or getting back home at the end of the evening!

Family Ride Arrivals

Thank you for registering to take part in the Islabikes Family Ride! You’re in for a treat! We do have a small number of places available on the day, first come, first served folks! Please head to the Islabikes stand to find out more. All pre-entered riders must register at the Islabikes stand located near the Family Area between 3pm & 8pm on Friday 16th June, or from 10am on Saturday the 17th.
