Hope Cement are returning to Eroica Britannia for a third year
With a history dating back more than 85 years, Hope Cement’s works in Derbyshire is recognised as the biggest and one of the most efficient cement plants in the UK. It has a capacity of more than 1.5 million tonnes per year and has supplied cement to some of the country's most iconic landmarks. 2016 was a particularly exciting year for us, as we became part of Breedon, the UK’s largest independent construction materials group.
“This is the third year that we have supported Eroica Britannia, and our presence at the festival once again highlights how important it is for cycling to be safe as well as fun. We operate a large fleet of trucks and are committed to promoting messages around cycling safely near large vehicles.”
Hope’s cement lorry, with its 360-degree cycle-safety camera, will be on show for the duration of the festival,
along with the Hope team, encouraging cyclists of all ages to sit in the cab, have a look at driver visibility limitations and gain a better understanding of road cycle safety.
